Dr Zolita Fisher is a co-founder of CO-OP and serves as Chair of the Board of Directors.
She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of California Riverside, an M.Ed. from Harvard
University Graduate School, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern
California.
Zolita has dedicated her career to helping those in need, particularly at-risk youth and
college-bound high school students.
She has worked as a Student Program Advisor and Associate Director of Advisement and Counseling with
the USC Educational Opportunities Programs. She conducted her counseling internship at CSU Long
Beach. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Raverly's Resource Center.
Currently, Zolita is the Director of the Rio Hondo College Upward Bound and Student Support
Services Programs. As as seasoned Trio Programs Director, Dr. Fisher's role as Board Chair gives her a
unique perspective into program operations and the overall success of the agency. Her duties include
coordinating Board meetings, representing CO-OP at community events, and participating in fundraising
activities.
Zolita is happily married to her husband Kenneth Fisher. They reside in Inglewood, California
with their two sons, Jalen and Justin.

Zolita is an active supporter of federally-funded Trio Programs. She has assisted thousands of at-risk with completing high school and attaining a college degree.
