Iliana Espinoza-Orantes, M.A.

Iliana Espinoza-Orantes is a CO-OP Board member and serves at its
Treasurer and CFO.
She received her B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of
California, Los Angeles. She received her M.A. in Reading/Language
Arts Education, Reading Specialist Credential, and Multiple Subject
Teaching Credential from California State University, Los Angeles.
Iliana has spent her career enhancing the educational capabilities of
young children and teens.
She has worked as a Tutor and Residential Advisor for educational
outreach programs. Within the Los Angeles Unified School District she
has served as a Categorical Program Coordinator and as a 1st and 3rd
grade Teacher.
Currently, Iliana teaches 3rd grade at the Marvin Avenue Elementary
Language Magnet.
She volunteers at her children's schools and actively participates in CO-
OP events and fundraisers. Iliana is particularly interested in issues
relating to bilingual education and speech and language pathology.
Iliana resides in Northridge, California with her husband Ronald and
their two children, Andrea and Jacob.
