Family Services Division Overview
This Division focuses on providing education, health, and child care referral services to children ages 0
through 5 and their families. Primary emphasis is placed on improving literacy, nutrition, and
parenting skills while promoting strong family structures, stable home environments, so that
children can thrive.
Future Plans
Our ultimate goal for the Family Services Division is to operate a comprehensive Child Care
Center. The Center will focus on early literacy, English language acquisition, and school readiness. Our
Center will provide services to families from a variety of backgrounds and will utilize culturally appropriate
learning tools. We are currently in the development and planning phase of this project. In Summer 2011,
CO-OP will offer individuals and families Notary services. Live Scan and Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance (VITA) services will be offered in Spring 2012.
